Sullia: KSRTC bus gets stuck in roadside pit, passengers express rage over no alternate arrangement

Sullia, Aug 14: A KSRTC bus got stuck in a road side pit at the bend near Sri Chowdeshwari temple on Kulkunda-Bisile Ghat road near Subramanya on Sunday August 13.

The bus was going towards Mangaluru from Bengaluru. The rear portion of the bus got stuck in the pit. Though the officials assured to send crane, the bus was not lifted from the pit till afternoon. No alternative arrangements were also made for the passengers. Many passengers who were going for medical treatment, along with children had to reportedly suffer. Passengers expressed rage against the KSRTC officials who did not take any action.

The road got blocked and vehicles lined up for several km of stretch on both sides. The bus was removed in the evening from the pit.
