Mangalore: Omni Catches Fire, Driver Escapes Unhurt

Mangalore, Aug 5:
An Omni car bearing the registration number KA01- M1398 and  driven by one Suresh caught fire in Balmatta here on Friday August 5.
 
The incident happened at around 10.30 am, soon after its repair at a garage near SES hospital. Luckily, the driver managed to escape unhurt.

Pandeshwar fire station personnel rushed to the spot immediately and doused the flames before the car could be completely charred.
 
Though the cause for the fire is not yet ascertained, leakage in the fuel tank is suspected. A case has been registered in Kadri Police station.
