Daijiworld Media Network – Sullia (MS)

Sullia, Aug 14: Feline panleukopenia, a virus that is seen in cats has increased considerably in Dakshina Kannada district. Though this is common among cats, it is necessary to get them vaccinated.

Officials said that the infection first came to light six months ago in the district. But now it has increased rapidly.

This viral infection causes the white blood cells to reduce in cats. This spreads in cats due to contact from one cat to another.

The cats will show symptoms of fever, vomiting, diarrhoea, no hunger, anorexia and dehydration. If they are not given treatment on time, they die. This infection does not spread to any other animal or human beings. However, the officials say that it is better to take precautions.

It is necessary to take the cats to the vet and get them vaccinated. The vaccines are available only in private pet shops.

Following referenced, 2 min video on one of the telegram chanel, WEF's Jane Goodall says need to stop eating meat and need to stop the plans to grow grains for billions of animals... "⚠️WEF - Jane Goodall, advocates reducing the global population down to 450 million—a 95% reduction from today's population: "We cannot hide away from human population growth. Because, you know, it underlies so many of the other problems. All these things we talk about wouldn't be a problem if there was the size of population that there was 500 years ago."
