Gujarat, Aug 14: Tulundada Aisiri, Gujarat celebrated annual Ashodatsava at Koli Samaja auditorium, Daman Dunetha on August 13. Shashidar B Shetty, president of Tulu Koota Baroda inaugurated and presided over the programme.

Tulu Sangha Ankaleshwar president Shanker Shetty lit the lamp. Karnataka Samaja Soorat president Manoj C Poojary was the chief guest. Gujarat Billava Sangha honorary president Dayananda R Bontra and Udaya S Shetty the guests of honour felicitated the new mayor of Dadranagar Haveli Silvasa, Rajani Govinda Shetty.

Nithesh Shetty Ahmedabad, Jayanth Shetty Surat, Vasu V Suvarna Baroda, P S Karanth Vapi, Bhasker Sarapady, Ramesh Poojary Vapi, Dr R K Nayar and Radhakrishna Moolya were on the dais as special guests.

Tulunada Aisiri honorary treasurer Pradeep Poojary, joint secretary Sukesh A Shetty, joint treasurer Ganesh Shetty, convener Pushparaj G Shetty Puttur, Venkatesh Poojary Silvas, members of men’s, women’s and youth wing were present.

Several sports and entertainment programmes and local dances were held on the occasion. Shalini Shetty and Prafulla Shetty sang a prayer. Dhanashree Sridhar Shetty performed a welcome dance. Vice president Navin S Shetty welcomed. Dr R K Nayar explained the celebrations. Akshata Shetty, Prafulla Shetty, Vasanti Poojary, Shalini Shetty and Sapna Poojary introduced the guests. Women’s wing secretary Arundati Shetty gave details of the education fund of the sangha and guests distributed scholarships. Women’s wing president Rajani Shetty, Sachin Poojary Bhivandi and Srastita Shetty compered the programme. Honorary chief secretary Udaya B Shetty rendered a vote of thanks.
