Rahul Dravid in, Yuvaraj, Bhajji Out for ODIs Against England


Chennai, Aug 6 (IANS) Rahul Dravid has been recalled to India's ODI squad after two years for the series against England beginning Sep 3. Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh, who were injured, have been left out of the 16-member squad for five ODIs and one-off Twenty20, selectors announced here Saturday.

Dravid is in brilliant form with two back-to-back centuries against England in the first two Tests. He last played in an ODI against West Indies in the Champions Trophy at Johannesburg, Sep 30, 2009.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain), Virender Sehwag (vice-captain), Gautam Gambhir, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, Zaheer Khan, Ravichandran Ashwin, Praveen Kumar, Munaf Patel, Ishant Sharma, Vinay Kumar, Amit Mishra, Parthiv Patel.

    Finally,JUSTICE is done. BCCI unnecessarily sidelined Dravid and Laxman from ODI squad before.Some people still don't believe that Dravid is a ODI player.They fail to understand that Dravid is an intelligent cricketer who plays according to the merit of the ball.Anyway this is a good news.VVS Laxman is still regretting that he didn't play in World Cup so far.Even Dinesh Mongia unknown to cricket world too played World Cup and vanished ! I still believe that Dravid and Laxman can play better than Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in ODI. Just wait and see Dravid's performance against England.
