Bengaluru, Aug 16: The Congress government’s flagship and popular guarantee scheme Shakti that offers free travel facility to all women and the transgenders of Karnataka in all government buses within the State will be continued without any disruption.

The Chief Minister’s office has issued a statement (in the form of a message) declaring that the Shakti scheme which has become quite popular among women will continue without any disruption as before since its launch on June 11.

In a note it has clarified that messages on the closure of Shakti scheme that are being circulated in the social media are ‘’completely fake’’ and has asked the people not to trust such messages, which are aimed at discrediting the Congress government.
