Kaup, Aug 18: Kaup police arrested Ahmed Ninaan alias Chinnu (23), a resident of Kasba Bengre of Mangaluru, on the accusation of stealing a motorcycle that was parked near Kaup flyover.
Chethan Acharya, a resident of Bantakallu, had parked his motorcycle near Kaup flyover parking area between July 10 and July 15. When he returned, his vehicle was missing. A case was filed in this regard with Kaup police. The motorcycle which was stolen was traced to Koppalangadi on August 4.
On August 5, Panambur police arrested Ahmed on accusation of stealing a motorcycle in Mangaluru. On interrogation, he also confessed to have stolen a motorcycle that was parked below Kaup flyover. Hence, Panambur police informed Kaup police about the same.
The accused was produced in court and subjected to judicial custody for 14 days.
