Mangaluru, Aug 18: Rayan Magneto's upcoming Independent Konkani comedy film ‘Lucky Draw 777’ has been in talks for quite some time. As a crowd-funding project, it was announced in 2021, but soon after the project failed to raise the required funds, it went on hold. It took Rayan Magneto about a year to finally get it on floors, where he decided to produce himself and keep his promise to viewers and well-wishers.
A Muhurat for the film was held on December 10, 2022 at our lady of remedies church Kirem in the presence of Fr Sunil George D'Souza, and the first schedule was completed after six days of shooting between December 12 and December 17, 2022.
In the later stages, the film was mainly shot on Sundays and holidays due to availability of actors. The filmmakers wrapped up the shoot after 15 days. Further, a two- day reshoot was held from March 26 to 28, 2023 for a few patchwork scenes.
This film is about three friends winning a draw and the conflicts they encounter in order to claim their prize.
The film is written, directed, edited and produced by Rayan Magneto under the banner of Trending Shield and Rayan Magneto Films.
This film stars popular theatre actress Lucy Lobo Aranha Gurpur, Youtube sensation Kelvin Saldanha making his Konkani film debut, and popular writers and hosts such as Alwyn Danty Pernal, Melwin Pernal, and Preetham Noronha Fajir. Other artistes include Rishal Permannur, Joylin D'Souza Niddodi, Leston Lestu, Aaron Prince, Jonisha D’Souza, Louis pinto Kateel, Prinson Mathias Kirem, Vinson Mathias Kirem, Preethi Mathias Kirem and Carmine Sequeira. In addition, a popular singer is expected to make a surprise appearance.
The cinematography is handled by Stany Niddodi (SJ Photography) and Alwyn sequeira (iCandid studio) Drone and additional cinematography is managed by team NR Media Naizil Rodrigues, Jeevan D’Costa and Hanson Rodrigues.
The film's background score is composed by Russel Rodrigues. Dubbing was done at Dennana Recording Company under Jaison J Sequeira's supervision. The movie was shot in Kinnigoli, Aikala, Damaskatte and Mangalore. The film will have a single premiere show at a theatre in town followed by few private shows before its final release on YouTube. The team of ‘Lucky Draw 777’ will shortly announce the official release date of the film.
