Kundapur, Aug 19: A special talk on the topic Pioneering Innovations for Smart and Sustainable Future was held at MITK Moodlakatte, by Innovation and Development Cell of MITK.
Dr Ramesh Sivasamy and Prof Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru campus were the resource persons for the same.
In his talk, Dr Ramesh Sivasamy spoke on 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) built on decades of work by countries and the United Nation including the United Nation Department of Economic and Social Affairs. He motivated the students to work on any one or more SDGs and contribute towards sustainable development. He shared his vast experience in Research in India and abroad (Chile, South America) with the students and explained how one can achieve something in life even being from a remotest place and humble background by citing his own example. He also talked about the scope for research in the area of composite materials and superconductors.
The event was organised by Dr Thilagaraj T, chairperson, Innovation and Development Cell, MITK.
Dr Ramakrishna Hegde, director, brand building, IMJ Institutions, staff members and more than 200 students were present for the event.
