Udupi: Unique protest wearing black dress against atrocities on women

Udupi, Aug 21: A unique silent protest, wearing black dress, was held by Karnataka state federation against atrocities on women in front of K M Marg near Mother of Sorrows church in the city on Monday.

Members of the organization and likeminded supporters wore black dress and tied black bands. They also held posters depicting atrocities on women. Dr H S Anupma, poetess and writer, eminent leader of the federation spoke on the occasion.

Janaki Brahmavar, Prof Phaniraj, Fr William Martis, Vani Periyadi, Manjula Sunil, Arundathi, Mumtaz, Rekhamba, Akhila, Kriti, Mamata, Padmakshi, Pavitra, Mallika, Sushila Nad, Sulochana, Geetha, Nagesh, RAmanji, Roshni Olivera, Veronica and Manjunatha Giliyaru were present.
