Kundapura, Aug 21: In an incident that occurred on Sunday, August 20, a woman poured kerosene on police who came to question her on a complaint that was filed against her that she was creating trouble in public by keeping items on the roadside.

The woman identified as Saroja Das was running a tailor and fancy store on Koteshwar main road under the Beijadi grama panchayat.

Locals complained against her that she had spread the goods and items of the shop on to the road, which was obstructing vehicular traffic.

A complaint has been filed with Kundapura police station that the woman scolded the police who arrived for investigation and tried to pour kerosene from a bottle and set it on fire.

When the police ducked the attack, the kerosene fell on the ground but an adamant Saroja set fire on the area.
