Mangaluru, Aug 22: “The government officials in the district need not fear the political interference of BJP's elected representatives in the administration of coastal Karnataka. Officials should work as per the law,” said former minister B Ramanath Rai.
Addressing media on Tuesday, August 22, he said, “Now the BJP representatives have become like fish without water. The BJP government had interfered in the administration during their rule.”
He also alleged that the former deputy commissioner was a working as an agent of the government but was innocent. “There are 71 cases of illegal land allotment done through Akrama Sakrama Samthi,” alleged Rai.
He said, “The representatives of the BJP are scaring the officials with threats. The BJP is indulging in dictatorship and hatred politics. Officials need not worry. Let them work as per the law. Moreover, the BJP government is not in power in the state. The Congress has come to power with a full mandate. This is not the BJP government.”
Rai also said that the BJP has given reservations to four women in single gram panchayat constituency. They don't believe in democracy, he said.
