Guj BJP holds review meeting with Lok Sabha members from state to discuss constituency issues

Gandhinagar, Aug 22 (IANS): In a proactive move to address constituency concerns and strategise ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in March 2024, the Gujarat BJP held a comprehensive meeting on Tuesday with the Lok Sabha members from the State.

The conclave, convened at the State capital Gandhinagar, aimed to deliberate on an array of issues pertinent to each representative's constituency.

The meeting garnered notable attention as it brought together Lok Sabha members to assess their achievements, challenges, and ongoing initiatives within their constituencies.

With the notable exception of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other union ministers engaged in their ministerial commitments, the meeting was attended by the majority of the Lok Sabha members.

The rendezvous was framed as an opportune moment for the MPs to present their "report cards" highlighting their achievements and ongoing endeavors to bolster their respective regions.

The review session unfolded at the Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel's bungalow, providing a conducive setting for the candid exchange of ideas.

Led by the Chief Minister, the discussion was facilitated by C. R. Paatil, the state BJP chief, and Ratnakar, the organisational general secretary of Gujarat BJP. The focal point of the discourse encompassed diverse dimensions, ranging from the commemoration of nine years of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government in July, 'Meri Mitti Mera Desh' campaign, to the grassroots organising efforts of the local BJP units.

Furthermore, they were urged to compile an exhaustive roster of beneficiaries for these schemes before the imminent announcement of the March 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
