Mangalore, Aug 8: Former union minister and Congress leader, B Janardhan Poojary, offered special prayers at Sayyid Madani Dargahh in Ullal near here on Wednesday August 7, seeking blessings for speedy recovery for ailing national president of Congress party, Sonia Gandhi, who is convalescing in a USA hospital. On Saturday, he had performed ‘Urulu Seve’ at Lord Gokarnanatheshwara Temple Kudroli, for the same cause.

During his visit to the Dargahh, MLA, U T Khader, Congress leader, Harikrishna Bantwal, and Dargahh governing council president, U K Monu, were present.

Speaking to news men later, Poojary said that the country is badly in need of Sonia’s services for a long time. He hailed his leader for visiting nooks and corners of the country and understanding the genuine needs of the nation and its people. “She has served the country unselfishly. Being her staunch followers, it is our duty to offer prayers to the Lord, seeking her early recovery when she is facing health complications,” he explained.

He advised those who hanker for power, to follow the example of Sonia Gandhi, who has sacrificed everything for the nation, and to toe her line of  her unquestionable commitment to common people with special concern for minorities. He said that the Gandhis have donated property worth crores of rupees for the country, and have time and again proved that they are not lured by lust for power.

He hoped that the prayer offered by him during the holy month of Ramzan will be approved by the Lord and the Lord will in turn, bless Sonia with health and fitness at the earliest.

    Dear Honourable Ex-Minister,

Instead of Making all these (urulu seve etc.) dramas and publicising yourself, why don't you highlight on Mangalore's "AAM ADMI's" basic problems, like the current one is "Gas Validity" issue which is troubling the poor in Mangalore. At least you will get genuine blessing from the poor people. I think this Minister would not have prayed so-much for his own dear (relative) one.
