I am proud to the seed of that Nala Ward. It is really a mystery to see the St Ann’s Church, Mavinakatte (Nala),growing step by step.
from a humbe beginning it has reached to the possition of a church.
There were days of my child hood where in we had to travel from deferrent terrains to reach Madanthyar church only when we traveled more than 8 k.ms, may it be rain or shine treck through the hiils forests vallies steams or rivers or the great field we were there for the second mass to 7.30 A.M.But today the church is standing magnificently on he hillock and a plot of land Donated by the great Army men the late Jerome Pais.So now the church is just 8 minutes walk away and not 8 k.m.s away. That whenever i pay visit to my houe i see that i attend the Mass at that church.
It is great also to note that the St Ann’s Ward,(Nala), has produced 6 priest more than 7 nuns and 3 great carmel (Cloistered) Nuns. But St Ann’s Church, Mavinakatte Nala),is blessed with almost 33 families who are agricultural labourers. It is appreciated that with no oter sources of income the church is running with the help and hard toil of 33 families.
I am really proud to be the parishioner of the St Ann’s Church, Mavinakatte (Nala),though i am a practicing Lawyer in Goa.Let the blessings of St Ann’s be showered abundantly on the parishioners of St Ann’s Church, Mavinakatte (Nala),
