Mangaluru: Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) inaugurates 'Yen-Refined'

Mangaluru, Aug 23: Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) marked a significant milestone on Wednesda, August 23, with the inauguration of the Yenepoya-Research Centre for Finance and Entrepreneurship Development (YEN-REFINED) and a one day research development programme (RDP) on the theme 'Collaborative Partnership for Research and the Relevance of Methods and Results in Publication.' The event took place at the Kulur Campus and was organized by Yenepoya Institute of Arts, Science, Commerce and Management (YIASCM).
 
The event commenced with Pinakini Shetty, faculty, YIASCM as the master of ceremony, welcoming esteemed guests and participants. Dr Niyaz Panakaje provided an overview of Yen-Refined and outlined the agenda of the RDP. The logo of Yen-Refined was launched by pro vice chancellor, Dr B H Sripathi Rao; chief guest Dr Dasharathraj K Shetty, associate professor at MIT Manipal Academy of Higher Education; prof Arun A Bhagwath, principal and dean faculty of Science; Dr  Shareena P, vice principal, dean faculty of Commerce and Management; Dr Jeevan Raj, vice principal and Dr Niyaz Panakaje, coordinator, Yen-Refined.
 














 
Dr B H Sripathi Rao emphasized the importance of multidisciplinary research and collaboration across diverse subject areas to enrich the field of entrepreneurship, finance, humanities, and social sciences. Dr Dasharathraj K Shetty stressed the essential role of multidisciplinary collaboration in achieving robust growth. Prof Arun A Bhagwath highlighted the University's plan to establish expertise in various fields through sub-centres, contributing to the expansion of the Yenepoya Research Centre's vision.
 
Session 1 was led by Dr Dasharathraj K Shetty, delved into the significance of building collaborative partnerships for research credibility and growth. Dr Niyaz Panakaje guided the second session, underscoring the criticality of comprehensive methodology reporting, ethical considerations, assumption testing, and effective result communication within indexed journals. The RDP aimed to encourage researchers to produce high-quality work for grants, funding, and impactful publications through collaborative partnerships.
 
The chief guest prof Vinitha Pai, professor of Biochemistry at Yenepoya Medical College and director of the PhD program at Yenepoya (Deemed to be University)  of the valedictory session stressed the importance of attending such workshops regardless of research stage. 80 participants from Karnataka witnessed the inauguration and participated in the one day research development programme. The event concluded with the valedictory session, followed by the national anthem.
 
Yenepoya (Deemed to be University)'s Yen-Refined and the research development programme showcased the institution's commitment to fostering collaborative research and knowledge dissemination across a multitude of disciplines, setting the stage for future advancements in academia and society.
