Kasargod, Aug 24: In a heart-wrenching incident, a four-year-old girl enrolled in a nursery school lost her life tragically after being run over by a school bus at Kambhar Siribagilu this afternoon. The young victim, Ayisha Seya, was the beloved daughter of Mohammed Zubair, a resident of Siribagilu.

The incident occurred in close proximity to her home. The unfortunate incident took place as the young girl was disembarking near her residence, while the driver was in the process of reversing the school vehicle.

Despite the immediate response of local residents, who rushed to her aid and swiftly transported her to a private hospital in Kasargod, the child had already succumbed to her injuries.

Ayisha was a nursery class student at Nellikunje's private school.

The Kasargod police have initiated a case in this regard.

RIP little angel 👼💖 This is indeed very tragic...is it not necessary for someone from the family meet the bus and take the kid....the bus driver should first ensure the kid is on safe ground before reversing the vehicle .

Its very sad to hear such stories in India that does not have strict regulations on any thing! Such a loss of innocent life because of a negligent driver. This negligent bus driver must be penalised and jailed for life for manslaughter. The Indian authorities must ensure that the bus driver alights and guides each student safely down, and away from the road to their respective waiting parents, especially Nursery students and elementary school students. Every students life is precious. Most schools in India and especially in Karnataka do not own or the Police authorities do not prohibit private Rickshaw and Maruti vans to transport students, with zero safety features and that are normally over packed. Also parents transporting two to three siblings on their Scooties and Motorbikes must be banned and parents who do so must be booked and penalized severely. Its pathetic in Karnataka where regulations are zero!
