Mangalore: Tulunada Rakshana Vedike Holds Rasta Roko

Mangalore, Aug 9:
A rasta roko was organised under the aegis of Tulunada Rakshana Vedike urging the authorities to repair the Kacharu bridge that collapsed in the gram panchayat limits of Kotekar on Monday August 8.

Speaking on the occasion Tulunada Rakshana Vedike founder president Yogish Shetty said that the bridge which connects Kotekar-Beeri, Talapady-Deralakatte was in a dilapidated state and complaints were made to the PWD and other departments, but in vain. Many times accidents have taken place on the bridge, he added. He also warned of intensified protest in case there was further delay in taking up the bridge repair work.
 
MLA U T Khader, zilla panchayath member Sathish Kumpala also were present and supported for the protest.
 
On the occasion Krishna Gatty Someshwara, Hameed Madoor, G Ibrahim, Ravi Shetty Madoor among others were present.
