Mangaluru: Youth fest ‘YUVA-2K23’ held at St Agnes College

Mangaluru, Aug 26: The postgraduate department of big data analytics at St Agnes College (Autonomous) organized an interdepartmental youth fest, ‘YUVA-2K23’, on August 24. The fest was held in celebration of International Youth Day and brought together the youth of St Agnes College (Autonomous) to showcase their talents. The fest was inaugurated by the principal, Sr Dr M Venissa AC, vice principal Sr Clara AC, and PG coordinator Sr Dr M Vinora AC.

Students from the postgraduate studies, undergraduate studies, and the pre-university of St. Agnes College (Autonomous) participated enthusiastically in the youth fest.

The youth fest included four major events. The first event, Laugh-A-Mania (Stand-up comedy) organized by the event heads Debie D'Cruz and Sara Sheik. The second event, Tribe Tales (Face Painting) organized by the event heads Belinda D'Souza and Manasa Vas. The third event Hennafusion (Mehndi Competition) organized by the event heads Iral Mayola D’Souza and Anusha B Acharya. The fourth event was Confidance (Dance Competition) organized by the event heads Dayana Kuruvila and Sandra Mariya Shiju. Shilpa E V and Rakshitha captured the memorable moments of the events. Brochure design and venue arrangements at different locations were done by Manisha and Achyutha. Relisha D’Souza was the student coordinator for the youth fest and the big data analytics vice president Jnana Kaveramma P B conducted the event. The pre-university college bagged three prizes, the undergraduate studies secured one prize and the postgraduate students secured four prizes.

The valedictory programme included felicitating the winners and the participants. The youth fest concluded with the audience and the organizers singing the college anthem.
