Bantwal: Woman seriously injured in car-auto-rickshaw collision

Bantwal, Aug 26: A woman passenger suffered serious injuries in a collision between a car and an auto rickshaw at Kotekani, Melkar traffic police station limits.

The injured lady is identified as Asiamma, a resident of Kanchinadka Padav. She is undergoing treatment in the ICU of the private hospital in Mangaluru.

Her family members Shahinad, Altaf and auto-rickshaw driver Shaheed escaped with minor injuries.

The incident took place when the three people were on the way from Salethur to their relatives’’ house at Kotekani in the auto-rickshaw. The car rammed into the auto-rickshaw which was approaching the main road from Kotekani inner road. The rickshaw was mangled in the impact.

Melkar traffic police visited the accident spot and registered a case.
