Moodbidri, Aug 27: A felicitation ceremony took place at the Corpus Christi Church in Moodbidri, following the morning Mass on Sunday, August 27. The occasion was to honour Sandesh P G, the newly appointed circle inspector for the Moodbidri region. Sandesh P G is a member of the St Mother Teresa ward within the parish.
During the event, after accepting the felicitation, inspector Sandesh P G addressed the parishioners with an inspiring speech. He emphasized the importance of hard work and encouraged the youth of the parish to consider pursuing careers in government departments, particularly within the Home department. He highlighted that such roles would allow them to serve the society effectively. He also advised the youth to focus on competitive exams to secure desired job positions, suggesting that staying in the hometown and contributing to the community through government roles is a more meaningful path than seeking jobs abroad.
Inspector Sandesh P G extended gratitude to Fr Onil D’Souza, the parish priest, and the gathered audience for their support and trust in the police department. The felicitation event was introduced by Norbert Martis, the secretary of the parish council. Notable attendees included Fr Onil D’Souza, vice president Vincent D’Souza, and the 21 commission convenor of the parish, Celine D’Souza.
Fr Onil D’Souza blessed Inspector Sandesh and wished him success in his new role. He also expressed hopes for future honours and medals in his profession. The ceremony was attended by all members of the parish council and the parishioners, making it a truly communal celebration.
