Udupi: 49-year-old dies by suicide over loan app harassment

Udupi, Aug 28: A man, who was depressed due to the repeated calls for repayment of loan he took online, killed himself by hanging.

The deceased is identified as Raghavendra A Shanubhogue (49), a resident of Shivalli and working as assistant manager at Baliga Fishnet.

Raghavendra had taken a loan from online app and was getting calls repeatedly. Distraught by the calls, he hung himself at his residence in Hudco colony.

A case in this connection is registered in Manipal police station.

    we can say that cyber crime department is involved with the criminals. This is the national threat. Home minister have to take strict action against cyber crime. we have the technology to land on moon. but no action against cyber crime. how can any criminal take transaction amount without opening an account. may be bank managers or staff, financial department also involved with the criminals.

    police department first should find out who are this loan app people . and also when police catchs criminal please put there photos this is your work to show there face so that all people come to know and wil be alert in future. media and police should work together for good will for the citizen .......

    roy Indian Mangalore .I have one question .Now the loan taker is dead.Will they now claim the money from his homepeople or let it out?When they harass his people ,then is horrible.May be people take this loan thinking they get it without much problems even it includes high rate of interst.Heartfelt sympathy to the family.

    Never take loan from apps or even private financial companies. They all cheat There are lot of nationalized banks who will give loan with clear documents., Never fall for these apps or private finances They will trap you for money
