Udupi, Aug 28: Udupi, the land of Krishna is getting ready to celebrate Krishna Janmasthami, the birthday of Lord Krishna. As the popular festival is fast approaching, the devotees of Lord Krishna in Udupi are all set to celebrate it with pomp and gaiety.

To enhance the Sri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations Daijiworld Udupi is organising “Chelva Krishna” for children aged up to 6 years, and “Radhakrishna” for those in the age group of 6 years to 23 years. To provide opportunity for the large interested groups this time Daijiworld Udupi is organising the photo contest in two exclusive categories. 

The winners will be awarded with cash prizes along with a trophy and certificate. The first prize winners of both the categories will receive Rs 5,000 each in cash and second place will get Rs 3,000 and third place will get Rs 2000 cash prizes, along with trophies and certificates respectively. Three consolation prizes of Rs 1,000 cash prize each along with trophy and certificate will also be distributed.

Participant’s photos must be sent through e-mail to contestdwudupi@gmail.com. The last date for submission of photos is September 10.

Rules  for 'Radhakrishna' contest:

• The participant’s age should be between 6 years to 23 years.
• 3 different photos in 3 different angles of Radhakrishna are mandatory.(Radhakrishna should be in a single frame)

Rules for “Chelva Krishna” contest:

• Participants up to the age of 6 years are eligible for participating in Chelva Krishna photo contest.
• 3 different photos in 3 different angles of the participants are to be sent for the contest.

General Instructions:

• Edited and photos with watermark will be rejected.
• Photos should be natural and should be taken recently.
• Photos should be of high quality
• Birth certificate, aadhaar card/ 10th marks card copy are mandatory.
• Address and contact information of the parents should be attached with photos.
• Judges decision is final.
• Last date for submission: September 10, 2023.
• Photos received after the last date will not be considered for the competition.
