Suspecting partner's fidelity, man bludgeons her with pressure cooker in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Aug 28 (IANS): A man was arrested for bludgeoning his living-in partner to death with a pressure cooker in the city, police said on Monday.

The accused identified as Vaishnav from Kollam in Kerala was in a live-in relationship with Deva(24) who also hailed from the same state.

They had rented an apartment in Begur near Mico Layout in Bengaluru.

The two were classmates and studied in college together. Preliminary probe revealed that the couple were employees of private companies and engaged in fights quite often as the man doubted Deva's fidelity.

On Sunday, a similar fight turned ugly and the accused hit the woman's head with a pressure cooker. She succumbed to her injuries.

Though Vaishnav attempted to flee, but was nabbed by police later.

Further investigation into the matter is on.

    Very sad that she had to die in hands of her boy friend without or with fault?However cooker is not the instrument to kill own girlfriend or ever .Now take the same cooker and smash on his head .No case no cry no problem.Horrible what nowadays people doubt fidelity and take steps to end partner.May her soul rest in peace.Heartfelt sympathy to her family.In partnership one should live with love and Harmony.Dont doubt each other .Once doubt ,then no more feel like you are sure.clear it within by asking or talk with your partner and never go to sleep without having peaceful atmosphere.

    Kindly serve a notice to all pressure cooker manufacturers to put a label and mention that it's only to be used for cooking. Some humans get confused and use it to place bombs or kill people.
