Mangaluru: Young man drowns while bathing in Talapady pond

Mangaluru, Aug 28: A heart-wrenching incident unfolded near Talapady as a young man lost his life while bathing with friends.

Hariprasad Acharya (36), a resident of Hosangadi's Durgipalla, Kerala, tragically passed away.

Hariprasad Acharya, son of Subraya Acharya and Umavati, had joined three companions for a bathing excursion at a private pond in Talapady. However, a distressing turn of events saw Hariprasad become trapped in the mud and subsequently drown.

Promptly responding to the scene, the Mangaluru fire brigade launched a comprehensive operation, successfully recovering Hariprasad's lifeless body.

The deceased worked as a welder and was unmarried.

Hariprasad has left behind his mother, sisters and brothers.
