Byndoor: Mortal remains of fishermen who drowned in sea found

Byndoor, Aug 29: The mortal remains of Gangolli Musaab (22) and Nazaan (24), residents of Kesarakodi of Shiroor village, who drowned while fishing on Sunday evening at Shiroor Alvegadde were found on the same beach on Monday August 28.

The deceased were engaged in Kairampani fishing for some time now and on Sunday evening too, they ventured into the sea for fishing. As the sea was turbulent, they lost balance and got drowned in the sea.

Local fishermen immediately jumped into the sea in a bid to rescue the two, but in vain. They could not find their bodies.

Byndoor police station inspector Niranjan Gowda, fire fighting force and Coastal Guard Protection Force, tahsildar and local fishermen had visited the spot of the incident.
