Mangaluru, Aug 29: Lourdes Central School Onam celebration was held on August 26.
Principal Fr Robert D’Souza and vice principals Belita Mascarenhas and Anita Thomas inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. The programme started by seeking the blessings of the Almighty by reciting the universal prayer followed by intentions. The Thought for the day was read by Anna Manimala of class XD. Deva Nanda and Aniruddh of class XI B enlightened us with the significance of the festival. Students of class X, XI and XII sang melodiously that beautifully captured the essence of Onam. Students of class X and XII put together the bulletin board and decorated the lobby with a magnificent Pookkalam.
Principal Fr Robert D’Souza addressed the students and greeted everyone on this festive occasion. The entire programme was compered by Marissa Elizabeth and Skandha Nambiar of class XI.
