Bantwal, Aug 29: An auto rickshaw driver was seriously injured after a car collided with his vehicle at B C Road.
The injured rickshaw driver Mohammed Sadik has been admitted to a hospital.
Mohammed Sadik was ferrying a Suraksha staff member to the health centre near Goodina Bali when the car approaching from Panemangalore collided with the rickshaw in front of the Lions Seva Mandir park near the railway station. The rickshaw toppled because of the impact.
However, passenger Amita escaped with minor injuries.
The traffic police have registered a case against the car driver Ubaidulla for reckless driving and causing the accident.
