Colombo: Asia achiever’s award presented to social worker Dr Abdul Shakeel

Colombo, Aug 29: Indian council for cultural relations, Swamy Vivekananda cultural centre Colombo and the high commission of India jointly held 40th International cultural fest at the auditorium of Sri
Lanka University of Visual and Performing arts.

Sri Lanka minister of religious and cultural affairs, Vidura Vikramanayake and Sri Lanka government minister of higher education, Surena Raghavan presented Asia achiever’s award to social worker Dr
Abdul Shakeel.

The award was presented considering distribution of rice by Dr Abdul Shakeel to more than ten thousand eligible families during Covid, adoption of economically backward class students, support to talented
students and his other social work.

 

 

Colombo Swamy Vivekananda Cultural Centre director professor Anukuran Datta, Asia Media cultural association’s Madan Gowda and Spandana Ida International Foundation founder president Dr Ida Samuel Reddy were present.
