Mangaluru: Man arrested in attempt to murder case

Mangaluru, Aug 29: The Mangaluru CCB Police have successfully apprehended an accused linked to a murder attempt within the Konaje Police station limits.

The arrested individual has been identified as Nameer Hamza, aged 39, hailing from Ullal.

Nameer had been living on rent in the residence of Mansoor at Netthilapadav. On August 12, a dispute related to house rent ensued, leading to a violent altercation involving sharp weapons. Following the incident, Nameer had been on the run. However, on August 29, he was apprehended.

Nameer Hamza has a history of criminal cases, including one at South Police station in connection with the Illyas murder case, as well as three instances of attempted murder within the Konaje Police station jurisdiction. Additionally, he faces an assault case at Ullal Police station, making a total of 10 cases filed against him.

The arrest operation was conducted under the guidance of CCB ACP P A Hegde, and coordinated by Inspector Shyam Sundar H, PSI Rajendra B, and other dedicated members of the CCB team.
