Mangaluru Aug 30: The elections for the posts of mayor, deputy mayor and four members of the standing committee of Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) will be held on September 8 at 12 noon.

Jayanand Anchan and Poornima are the present mayor and deputy mayor of the MCC respectively.

The BJP has a majority of 44 seats, followed by Congress with 14 and SDPI with 2 seats.
