Mangaluru: Shakti scheme completes 100 days – Rs 34.06 lac worth zero value tickets issued in DK

Mangaluru, Aug 30: The Siddaramaiah-led Congress government completed 100 days on Monday. It has implemented the ‘Guarantee’ schemes as promised in the election manifesto. Lacs of families have benefited out the guarantees schemes in Dakshina Kannada (DK) district also.

In DK, Shakti scheme was launched on June 11. From that date till August 28, Rs 34.06 lac worth zero value tickets are distributed to beneficiaries of free bus travel for women.

Scores of women devotees arrive to religious places of the district during weekend due to which the income of temple and related activities have soared.

Out of the 399022 families eligible for Gruha Lakshmi scheme of the government, 305358 families have already registered. They will get money credited to their account through DBT.

Around Rs 21.61 crore concession was given in electricity bill through Gruha Jyothi scheme to around 3.53 lac consumers out of 5.59 lac in the district.

Rs 30.03 crore cash benefit has been given to 197200 families under priority ration cards instead of the five kilos of extra rice that was promised by the Congress during the election.

Till the time people realize that the government is doing all the public works feom our money, INDIA will not improve. When roads are constructed and dug immediately ppl need to protest in full force. If we stage 5 protest of this kind all road digging will stop

    One Modi road show in Karnataka state is costing more than the total of all these free guarantees. Both are from tax payers money. Free guarantees help the poor people . Road shows ...... ?
