Kundapur: National Sports Day observed in IMJ Institute of Science & Commerce

Kundapur, Aug 31: National Sports Day was marked in IMJ Institute of Science & Commerce Moodlakatte, as part of the ‘Deeksharambha’ orientation session.

Sandeep, national level softball player was the chief guest for the programme. In his address to the students, he said, “In schools and colleges only marks will be recognized. But sports is also a very valuable part of building a life. We can get success only if we have dedication and devotion. Moral values are necessary for life and we get them in sports as well. We should accept both victory and defeat equally. If you lose, you will get the experience you need for the next sport. If you win, there is a possibility of becoming a leader. We should show our passion in sports.”

Dr Pratiba M Patel, principal addressing the students advised them to be active and healthy with a healthy mind and body.

Praveen Kharvi, welcomed the gathering. Prof Jayasheela Kumar gave an introductory address. Prof Shabina introduced the guest and Prof Pavana proposed the vote of thanks. Prof Sumana compered the programme.
