Kundapur: Amasebail police fill potholes on road, win praise from locals

Kundapura, Aug 31: A road at Kerekatte, in Amasebail police station limits was completely damaged and was unmotorable. Motorists had to struggle as the road was ridden with too many potholes.

Amasebail station police who realized the issue, themselves held sickles, spades and other tools and worked towards closing the potholes temporarily with some layers of mud.

The staffers of Amasebail beat police Raghavendra, Navin, Sudhakar and Devaraj filled the potholes to render the road motorable and fit for traffic. Locals have praised the humane gesture of the police.

    Traffic police and the general public have done a good job even though its not their job responsibilities. With majority of state budget being spent on freebies, people will suffer with problems like these.

    The Police are stupid to carry out such Voluntary works when the local Transport Dept,. that earns millions of Rupees are not held responsible to be held liable to repairs and restoration of all roads in villages and towns in Karnataka. People must wake up and DEMAND just as you pay taxes and GST, why pay if they are not used for good and better infrastructure. This happens only in India and more specifically in corrupt Karnataka
