Mangaluru, Sep 1: BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel said that the Congress declared ‘Guarantees’ without any restrictions. “Now several eligibility criteria are imposed. Under the pretext of 'Gruha Jyothi', whole Karnataka is kept in darkness,” he said.

Speaking to media, Nalin said, “Along with zero bill, power supply is also zero. There is no place for freedom of speech. Cases are filed on people commenting on social media and officers who report corruption cases.

“The Congress is saying that the good times of Indira Gandhi’s rule is returning in Karnataka. During that golden period, emergency was also declared.

“Farmers of our state are facing injustice as the Cauvery water is released to Tamil Nadu. The state is facing drought due to water scarcity. No power supply is given to the pumpsets of farmers. The BJP will hold protest against this policy of the Congress government,” he said.
