Bengaluru, Sep 2: Deputy Chief Minister and KPCC Chief D K Shivakumar said there was ‘’nothing wrong in senior Congress MLA BasavarajaRayareddy wiring a letter to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’’ and claimed that there is ‘’unhappiness or disgruntlement among Congress legislators.’’
Speaking to media persons near his residence on Saturday, he said all legislators and party leaders have their own grievances and they could be about their constituetencies or any other issues. ``They have every right to bring what they feel to the notice of the Chief Minister as he is the head of the government and leader of the legislature party,’’ he said.
Shivakumar claimed that there was no indiscipline or disgruntlement within the party.
``The so-called disgruntlement that is projected in a section of the media is a figment of imagination. All are happy with the functioning of the government and implementation of the guarantees,’’ he said.
The Deputy Chief Minister congratulated the scientists of ISRO for embarking on a mission to the Sun after the successful Chandrayaan mission.
The scientists based in Karnataka have brought laurels and credit to the country, he said.
Asked about the grievances of private transport operators due to the implementation of Shakti guarantee offering free bus travel to all women in government buses within the State, he admitted that the problem has come to his attention also.
``I will discuss the issue with the Chief Minister and Transport Minister and try to find a solution,'' he promised.
Shivakumar also pointed out that KSRTC is not operating buses in some places and people have to rely only on private buses. All the difficulties will be discussed and a solution found, he said.
Later, he joined the Chief Minister and offered Bagina to Almatti dam which is nearing full storage.
