Mangaluru: Police arrest Nigerian national peddling drugs from Bengaluru

Mangaluru, Sep 2: City crime branch (CCB) police arrested a Nigerian national peddling drugs from Bengaluru.

The arrested is identified as Adevole Adettu alias Regina Zara alias Aisha (33) from Nigeria, presently residing in Yelahanka, Bengaluru.

As much as 400 gram MDMA worth Rs 20,00,000, a mobile phone, cash Rs 2,910, total worth Rs 20,52,910 was seized from her possession.

Aisha, a resident of Nigeria, came to India on a study visa and was also working as a nurse. She left the job of nurse and was into selling MDMA. It is said that among the seven NDPS cases filed in Ullal, Mangaluru North, Kankanady, Konaje, Surathkal and CEN police station, the arrested accused in all the seven cases, had purchased the MDMA from Aisha.

She was produced to the court and sent to judicial custody.

The arrest operation was carried out under the direction of CCB ACP PA Hegde, inspector Shyam Sundar, PSI Rajendra, Sharanappa Bhandary, Sudeep, Narendra and CCB staff.
