Bantwal, Sep 3: A gang, which arrived at the Parappu Badriya Juma Masjid of Ira village in the taluk, assaulted the president of the mosque.
S A Abdulla is the victim of the assault.
He was speaking with other office bearers of the mosque, when he was assaulted by accused Samad, Nasir Ermaje, Farook, Mustafa Parladka, Rahim Parladka and Mohammed.
They also abused Abdulla using profane words.
A case in this connection is registered in Bantwal rural police station.
