Mangaluru: Carmel school Moodbidri celebrates National Sports day

Mangaluru, Sep 3: Since ancient times, sports have been a significant and necessary component of human life. Sports is the celebration of the human spirit and youth. It is not only inspires young minds but also teaches good values and ethics to young students.

Carmel school Moodbidri celebrated National Sports day with great enthusiasm on Tuesday, August 29. The programme was organised by students of grade II B. The chief guests Devika and Usha the physical educators of Carmel school along with the principal Sr Gracilda A C were honoured with a cap symbolising support and allegiance towards the students.

The occassion began with a glorified prayer song sung by grade II B students. To mark the importance of sports in one's life a skit was conducted on the theme ' sports challenge ' , spectacular dances on the theme ' Chakde De India ' and what do you like seized the attention of the young minds.

The significance of the day was delivered by Ahnik on Dhyan Chand promenent personality and his legacy.

Devika physical educator of the school addressed the students highlighting the importance of sports in order to keep the body and mind fit.

The principal communicated to the gathering about the knowledge of various games and importance of the day.

Engrossing games were conducted for K G, grade I to IV students. The programme was compered by Reola and Shan. Lisha welcomed the gathering and Ravish delivered the vote of thanks.

The whole gathering with immense pride sung the national anthem beating of the retreat marked the splendorous end of the day.
