Mangaluru: Tulu play 'Mane Manchoda Mantramurthy' to debut on Sep 4; award for actor Gopinath Bhat

Mangaluru, Sep 3: The inaugural performance of the Tulu drama "Mane Manchoda Mantramurthy," written by 'Kala Savyasachi' Prashant C K, will be presented by the Sriprapti Kalavider Kudla team at the Town Hall on Monday, September 4, on behalf of Kundeshwara Pratishthan, Mangaluru unit.

During the event, the Kundeshwar Kalabhushan Award will be bestowed upon Gopinath Bhat, a renowned artiste in Tulu, Konkani, Kannada, and Telugu cinema and theater, according to Jitendra Kundeshwar, founder president of Kundeshwar Pratishthan.

Gopinath Bhat has portrayed over 100 roles and participated in more than 750 plays. He has acted in more than 45 films, including 'Veeramadkari'. Bhat, who received the state award for the play 'That's All Your Honour', has also been honored by the Konkani Academy.

The inauguration ceremony is scheduled for Monday at 6 pm and will be attended by MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA D Vedavyasa Kamath, retired army officer K Brijesh Chauta, 'Telikeda Bolli' Dr Devadas Kapikad, 'Kalamanikya' Vijayakumar Kodialabail, U T Farid Foundation president Dr. U T Iftikhar, producer Prakash Pandeshwar, artiste and Daijiworld media founder Walter Nandalike, Padmaraj R, Madhava Naik Adyar, Kunjattodi Vasudeva Bhat, Satchidananda Edamale, Pammi Kodialabail, Vivekananda Sanil, Dhanraj Shetty, and others.

In addition to the debut performance of the Tulu drama "Mane Manchoda Mantramurthy," written and directed by Prashant C K, a felicitation programme for veteran Daivaradhaka Seena Shedya has also been organized.
