‘Go to Pakistan’: Teacher tells two school boys in Shivamogga'; transferred

Shivamogga, Sep 3 (IANS): A teacher at a government school here in Karnataka has been transferred after she allegedly asked two Muslim students to go to Pakistan.

The Karnataka Department of School Education and Literacy has also ordered a departmental inquiry against the teacher.

Manjula Devi, who was working at Urdu Government Higher Primary School in Shivamogga, has been transferred to a school at Hosamana Tanda in Hassan taulk.

The teacher had allegedly told a couple of Class 5 students to go to Pakistan while scolding them for making noise in the classroom.

She told them that this is a country of Hindus and they should go to Pakistan. The incident occurred on August 30.

The students returned home after school and reported the incident to their parents.

They in turn contacted the local leaders.

Few people recorded the statements of students and circulated them on social media.

Following the allegations, Block Education Officer P. Nagaraj visited the school and conducted a preliminary investigation.

The teacher denied the allegation.

She told the official that she was disciplining the students as they were unruly in class and were not respecting her.

However, students reiterated the allegation.

The authorities took the action after a complaint by A. Nazrullah, a local leader of Janata Dal-S.

Kiran mangalore What teacher said is wrong.I dont think all children will lie.Children are many times are honest and tell truth. When she says this land belongs to Hindus ,then she did a self goal-Noone will accept it.Now instead of transfering her should have sent to self Pakistan or home.Such teacher what will she teach children ?Govt school teacher s are recieving money from tax payers and not small. She should be creful when commenting.Instead she could have cooled students by some telling stories or averted their mind if they were making noice.Afterall they are children not dolls to sit quitely .

Poor teacher. She was disciplining the kids who were out of control and could have chosen any threat for that purpose and chose threat which is too sensitive and highly political now. She is now forced to avail Shakthi scheme and go to Hassan. With kind of things happening in Shivamogga, who knows, she might have deliberately taken this sure cure method to get out of Shivamogga.

It's a pity that we entrust the future of our children in hands of such horrendous people. The concerning department should take a symbolic example which is loud and clear to every individual by immediately terminating the services of the teacher and take necessary action under law who is in subject of discussion so that our future citizens prosper for the betterment of our country. Hinduism is a culture and not a religion, which is followed by all the all the Indians in India. If we all understand this, we do not need any color or chanting to do and say that we are Hindus (Indians).

The statement of the students are not so reliable. This happened in an Urdu school. Most of the students may be grom a particular community. I don't think a teacher would speak against that community in public

Mathews P Samuel, Pathanamthitta, you said they were students and perhaps they did not understand and then you say that the teacher won't be telling like this in PUBLIC. Can you tell me who are those public, ? the same students are the public when she said so, she was arrogant because they were just students. She did not said in public in the strict sense.

This bullshit statement of "Go to Pakistan" all began after 2014. It was never there before. So much hatred is built in these people towards muslim that these teachers have to be counselled & not transferred. If they are not prepared for counselling then they should be dismissed from job. They are pest to the school & society.

Do these Sanghis think that Pakistan belongs to their father?. Many of the prominent BJP leaders migrated to India during partition and there are more whose daughters have married Muslims. Since these people support one political party which exploits religion to gain power, strict action should be taken on these kind of people.

Manipal prof called one muslim student terrorist. This teacher tells muslim student to go to pakistan. This is hatred against muslims which is now all out in the open thanks to confidence given by govts. Absolute no shame. Then there are many more people who keep this hatred in their minds. Sadly most of them are highly educated.
