Mangaluru: Fresher’s day BE, BArch students held at Srinivas Institute of Technology

Mangaluru, Sep 4: Srinivas Institute of Technology organized a fresher’s day/orientation programme for the 1st Year BE and BArch students on September 4.

Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, chancellor Srinivas University, president, A Shama Rao Foundation, Mangaluru in his presidential remarks said that students should become leaders in their area of specialization. Dr A Srinivas Rao, pro-chancellor, Srinivas University vice president A Shama Rao Foundation, Mangaluru advised students to contribute for the advancement of science and technology. Trustee member A Vijayalakshmi R Rao informed the students to bring good name to the institution as well as for their parents. Mitra S. Rao, member, board of governors, Srinivas University & secretary, A Shama Rao Foundation spoke about the importance of values that each students should inculcate in their student life and throughout. Srinivasa Japa mantra book was released during the programme.

Prof Jayram Thumbe, faculty mechanical department, handled a session on ‘Engineering: A Success Path’. Parents, newly admitted students expressed their views on this occasion. Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D, principal of the college, welcomed the gathering and briefly introduced the management, college and head of various departments, Sanjana and Dyna, 1st year engineering invoked the gathering by prayer. Dr Sooryanarayana, the HOD department of physics, delivered the vote of thanks. Dr Ambika Mallya and Prof Steevan Robert Tellis were the master of ceremony on this occasion.
