Udupi: MAHE Ethics Committee attains coveted NABH accreditation

Udupi, Sep 5: In a remarkable achievement, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) has been awarded the prestigious NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers) accreditation certificate for its Ethics Committee. This recognition is a testament to MAHE's unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards in all its endeavours.

Dr Veena G Kamath, a professor in the department of community medicine, and a valuable member of the MAHE Ethics Committee, emphasized the significance of having a well-established set of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in place, attributing this accomplishment to the committee's meticulous attention to detail and adherence to ethical guidelines.

Dr Ullas Kamath, head of the Department of Basic Medical Sciences (DBMS) and the member secretary of MAHE Ethics Committee, expressed gratitude to the management of MAHE for providing the committee with the opportunity to undergo rigorous third-party validation. This acknowledgment underscores MAHE's commitment to fostering a culture of ethical excellence.

Lt Gen (Dr) M D Venkatesh, the vice chancellor of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), extended his heartfelt congratulations to the entire team.
