Udupi: GM celebrates Teacher's Day with Guruvandana

Brahmavar, Sep 5: GM Vidyaniketan public school celebrated the teacher's day with "guruvandana" ceremony organized by the school management committee in the school premises on Sept 05.

All the teachers were given wishing greeting cards.

Suresh Marakala, national award winner teacher and Teacher of Karkala Kukkuje Government PU college was the chief guest for the program. Speaking on the occasion he said "Our former president Dr Shankar Dayal Sharma received royal honors abroad from his disciple Arab rulers. This is an example of good relationship between Guru and disciple. GM is a great institute. All the students and teachers here are lucky.it is very happy to see that the children here are very much disciplined".

Principal George Kurian, said that teachers are behind every child's success. Parents are our first teachers. There should always be respect and love for teachers".

Pranav Shetty, Principal of GM Global School wished all the teachers well and said that they will work together to build a bright future for the students.

Prakashchandra Shetty, President of the School Management Board, received the pledge from the teachers and said that the teaching profession is the best, he congratulated all the teachers who are nurturing children and shaping their lives.

Students of class 10 taught lessons and gained experience as a teacher. Volleyball, tug-of-war tournament between teachers and students, various fun games for teachers were organized. The teachers and students of the institute were present in the programme. The students' cultural programs provided a dose of entertainment.
