Chitradurga: Teachers day celebrated at Assumption School, Hiriyur

Chitradurga, Sep 5: Teachers day was celebrated in grand manner at Assumption School, Hiriyur, Chitradurga District, Diocese of Shimoga.

At 7:30am children welcomed Teachers and Manager with school band. Then the student Anisha led the program. Students gave 20 meaningful program for Teachers. They showed their gratitude through their heart touching performances.

Manager and corresspondent Fr Franklin D'Souza together with HMs Henry Crasta, Sr Martha, Sr Veronica and Fr Alphonse Nelson D'Souza garlanded the photo of Sri Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan.

Students conducted games for the teachers in previous week. Prizes were distributed by Fr Franklin D'Souza.

From the management side every teacher was given a gift.

Manager and corresspondent Fr Franklin D'Souza wished the teachers in his speech. He appreciated their dedication in forming the students of the school. He said that teachers day is as important as the birthday of parents at home. At home as parents take care, in the school teachers take care of the students. We should be always grateful to their sacrificial service to each one of us. He blessed the students as well as teachers end of his speech.

Teacher Tanuja thanked the students on behalf of all the teachers.
