Three-day yellow alert in seven districts including Dakshina Kannada, Udupi from Sep 6

Mangaluru, Sep 6: Indian Meteorological Department announced a yellow alert for three days in seven districts of the state including the coastal region.

According to the information given by the department, heavy rains are expected from September 6 in the districts of Udupi, Dakshina Kannada (DK), Uttara Kannada, Bidar, Kalaburagi, Koppal and Raichur.

The wind velocity in south interior Karnataka will be 30 to 40 km per hour. Fishermen are advised not to venture into sea on Wednesday and Thursday as the wind velocity is high.

Dakshina Kannada and Udupi received copious amounts of rain on Tuesday.
