Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 6 (IANS): A teacher in a government school committed suicide by jumping into a well after getting to know about the demise of her son, here.
Her son M. Sajjin, a veterinary student in Wayanad, met with an accident on Tuesday evening and passed away.
When the news of this surfaced, the close relatives of Sheeja Begum, a resident at Nedumgadu in the capital city outskirts decided to leave for Wayanad. However, they did not disclose Sheeja about the death of her son, instead she was asked to stay at her close relative's house.
On Tuesday night, Sheeja got to know about the death of her son through facebook after which she ended her life by jumped into the well at the home where she was staying for the night.
The family has now decided to conduct the last rites of both the mother and son together, here.
