Mangaluru, Sep 7: The teachers' Day celebration at St Aloysius College Higher Primary School commenced with a warm welcome to all the attendees, setting the tone for a day filled with gratitude, appreciation and celebration.

The event began with a soulful prayer symbolising significance of the occasion.

A hearty welcome was extended to all the esteemed guests, teachers, parents and students, highlighting the sense of unity and respect.

A touching floral tribute was paid to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan by all the dignitaries present.

A brief presentation enlightened everyone on the importance of Teacher’s Day, emphasizing the role of educators in society.

The students greeted the teachers through a melodious song wishing them a happy Teacher’s Day.

A captivating dance performance added vibrancy to the event.

The chief guest of the event James Coutinho, block education officer Mangalore north zone, was felicitated with a token of appreciation for gracing the occasion with his presence.

He delivered an inspiring speech, motivating teachers, parents and students. He advised the parents to avoid supporting their children for their wrong doings but check them time and again and prepare them to face challenges in life.

Fr Melwin Pinto SJ, rector St Aloysius Institutions addressed the gathering acknowledging the commitment of dedicated teachers in the Primary School.

Outstanding students were felicitated for their remarkable achievements in the recent Pratibha Karanji competitions.

Class Representatives conveyed their heartfelt wishes to the teachers on behalf of their peers. This was followed by presentation of memento to all the teachers by the vice president of the PTA and the team

A thought provoking skit was performed highlighting the challenges and joy of teaching profession by the students. Correspondent of the school, Fr John D’Souza SJ, shared insight into the institution’s vision and future plans.

Words of gratitude were expressed to all dignitaries, participants, volunteers, teachers and parents who made the event a success.

The event was conducted by the students of class IV and the PTA under the leadership of Victor Serrao. The PTA also put up a neat programme in honour of teachers and as a gesture of appreciation, presented each one a memento.

The programme concluded with the singing of the school anthem led by the school cabinet.

A sumptuous meal was served to all the teachers, students and parents as well.

Post lunch, the PTA members conducted several games for the teachers and distributed prizes to the winners.

This day was made a memorable one both by students and the parents team with due respect to the educators who play a vital role in shaping the future generation.
