Mohan Bhagwat is against reservation, says Lalu Prasad

Patna, Sep 8 (IANS): Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief and former Union Minister Lalu Prasad on Thursday claimed that RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat is against the reservation.

"Whatever Guru Golwalkar mentioned in his book 'Bunch of Thought', Mohan Bhagwat and Narendra Modi are doing the same. They are against the reservation," the former Bihar chief minister said.

Lalu Prasad visited the Banke Bihari temple here on Thursday evening to pray to Lord Krishna on the occasion of Janmastami.

On the Opposition's INDIA bloc, he said: "We have formed an INDIA alliance and we will win in the Lok Sabha election. God is one for Ram and Rahim. Our God is Lord Krishna. I went to Banke Bihari temple and Iskcon temple in Patna and prayed for peace. I am going to Deoghar on Monday to worship Lord Shiva."

Earlier, RJD vice president Shivanand Tiwari also raised questions over Bhagwat's intent on the reservation matter.

He said Mohan Bhagwat was the one who advocated for ending the reservation in the country.
