Formation of Christian Development Corporation soon: Siddaramaiah

Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Sep 9: Chief minister (CM) Siddaramaiah said that the Christian Development Corporation will be established soon.

Speaking after inaugurating the Nativity of Birth of Virgin Mary (BVM) festivities at the St Mary’s Basilica at Shivajinagar in the city on Friday, Siddaramaiah said, “We have announced the formation of Christian Development Corporation in the budget itself. We have already reserved Rs 100 crore for the same. This will be done soon and an eligible president will be recruited.

“People of all religion and caste visit St Mary’s Basilica at Shivajinagar. Hence, this place has formed into a centre of communal harmony. I attend this festival of Nativity of BVM every year. This gives me immense pleasure.

“India itself is a centre of unity of various religions. There is no place for hatred in the name of religion or caste. Some are trying to project hatred as the culture of our country. Our government is committed to eradicate such forces and take stringent action against such people.

“None of the religions preach hatred towards mankind. But some cheaters, in the name of religion, are trying to divide people and societies. Our government will take severe legal action against such anti-socials. If anyone takes law unto hands in the name of immoral policing, they will be dealt according to law,” he said.

Meanwhile, CM Siddaramaiah also assured that he will look into the demands of the community leaders, who have asked to rename Shivajinagar Metro station as St Mary’s metro station and other two demands.

I think, all that Christians want, is to be left alone, to show others we are Christians by our love.

We Christian's don't want any schemes and reservation. For centuries we never asked anything from anyone except the right to live with dignity. We only want the govt to support the safety and environment to grow and sustain a family. ALL FAMILES irrespective of religious faith. We are Konkan. Even from the ashes of hopeless death Our forefathers rose to provide for our children. And we can do it all over again. We are Konkan. I request the Govt to release all temples from govt administrators. Let the community manage the temples and funds. This one issue has caused 4 decades of hate among our people. And please the govt should BE AGGRESSIVE FOR MORE CONTROL IN UNION GOVT. Our Karnataka GDP is sustaining whole of Bharat We deserve CONTROL.

Let’s pray for him to be PM of India. If G20 leaders hear Siddha such statements they will be thrilled with joy and happiness not because of money but inclusion of everyone in the society without biases and discrimination. No fekuism involved or like. Fekuism by Siddha. I really salute you sir. Many central leaders should take more lessons from you how to run a government with love and care of people than hugging every Tom and dick offoreign leaders and come back and do shitty shady stuff in the name of. Religion.

There is no great need of forming a body for development of Christians... Christians are working themselves up which they have been doing right from independence of our nation .... Christian children never sought reservation of any kind any most of us got merit seats be it any professional course... And Christians have contributed heavily in nation building and on border fronts... But least any govt can do is to protect the rights of Christians and ensure safe living conditions... Loose animus elements of the society are willing and waiting for an opportunity of anarchy same as seen in Manipur...
